Data Consistency Issues

Addressing the swlims.io project’s recent (roughly Friday, May 29th to Wednesday, June 1st, 2022) issues with certain sample data values displaying inaccurately on the site and in custom labels.

Thank you to all that reported specific issues via the bug tracking system (emailing a description of the issue to support@swlims.io

Summary

Over this last weekend, sample data on the swlims.io system (and the follow-on effects on the labels) have been experiencing bugs and issues related to the recent version update, resulting in values of THC, CBD and terpenes being reported wrong on (especially) extracts and infusions.

As part of the upgrades associated with that release, there has been a push to simplify and standardize 3+ years of archival data as well as adapt to the new Montana state regulations on adult use.

Workarounds

Since this issue is solely with the site display and not with the data itself, all pdf reports, certifications and pregenerated labels are still accurate and can be downloaded from swlims.io on an order’s summary page.

Impacts

Display Data

Key data values (THC, THCa, δ9THC, CBD, CBDa, total terpenes, etc.) for all sample types (flower, extract, infusion, etc.) were temporarily inaccurate by being either too large or too small by a factor of 100 (e.g. a sample of flower with a THC of 23.6% would have displayed as 0.236%). This issue is with the display only and does not mean your data has been changed or lost. All data is preserved accurately, our team maintains multiple backups and redundant copies.

At this point, the data issues are resolved for all sample types except for cases where the state regulations require [mg] reporting instead of percentage [%].

Label Text

Labels have primarily been impacted by the data issues with an additional layer of the warning and certification text:

Status

Our team continues to monitor the situation and is working on updates to fix any lingering issues that crop up, with special attention right now to the extract and infusion sample types (any that require the mg based reporting). Functionality should be fully restored by tomorrow (Thursday, June 2nd, 2022). If you continue to experience issues or inaccurate data afterwards, first try closing your browser or refreshing the cache in order to ensure that the latest version is being displayed.
